The Southwest Community Investment Corporation (SCI Corp), in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, will operate the Women’s Business Center (WBC) in the Rio Grande Valley. The Center’s mission is to provide business consulting to micro-enterprise owners, targeting women-owned businesses and provide opportunities that have an economic impact in the community. SCI Corp is committed to assisting women start and expand small businesses throughout our communities. The Center serves micro-enterprise owners and provides business and technical assistance. Services include but are not limited to business plan development, individual consulting, loan packaging, as well as training on various business areas including accounting, finance and marketing. The Center provides all services in English and Spanish to both start-up and existing women-owned entrepreneurships.
